The guided meditation begins with a soothing background harmony and the view of ocean waves crashing against the shoreline. Then the narrator begins speaking, “Let the horseshit of the external world fade from your awareness.”
In finding a sense of peaceful tranquility, Jason Headley, the man behind the “F*ck That: A Guided Meditation” video believes a guided meditation should contain the same sort of language you would hear every day. Incorporating curse words, the guided meditation is better at provoking laughter than tranquility when the narrator says phrases such as, “Breathe in strength, breathe out bullshit.”
Headley is the writer of the short film, and has a website containing other projects with humorous undertones to help brighten your day. In his Facebook post, Headley created the video to fit “the realities of today’s world.” Humour aside, swearing can have a calming effect as you purge your anger and aggression to help you relax.
If other meditation techniques have not effectively helped you find your inner peace, perhaps a narration including, “Take a moment to appreciate the silence, those assholes can’t piss over a purity like this,” can help clear your mind.
