The tiny house movement is exploding across the world. While some people have opted to buy their own tiny house, and others have opted to build their own tiny house, some people just aren’t ready to take the plunge.
If you’re unsure about whether or not tiny house living is right for you, perhaps the best way to test the waters is by renting a tiny house and experiencing it yourself for a few days. It’s a great way to travel, while also doing some research. With resources like Vacation Rentals and Airbnb, tiny house living is more accessible than ever.
Airbnb has such a large amount of tiny houses for rent that it can be overwhelming to choose just one. We’ve rounded up some of the best tiny houses to make your decision a little bit easier.
Bow Top Gypsy Wagon
The Bow Top Gypsy Wagon is located in Cornwall, United Kingdom. A traditional Romany bow top, the caravan sleeps two people.
The layout includes a stove used for heating and cooking and a bed. Across from the wagon there is a more traditional caravan that includes other facilities including a long bed, a cooker, a fridge, a table with seating and a flushing toilet. Electricity, water and gas are all included. There is also a nearby shower in a horse-box, which is shared with other travellers.
Outside there is a charcoal burning fire pit where you can light a fire, roast marshmallows and stargaze.

Amenities include a bedroom, a bathroom, heating, cable and internet.
Surrounded by thousands of acres of stunning lush greenland, the retreat is the perfect spot for hikers, bikers, or those that just want to escape the bustling city and enjoy nature.

Silo Studio Cottage
The Silo Studio Cottage is located in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts and accommodates two people.
The two-story cottage has a bedroom with a 35 ft. high cone-shaped ceiling and canopy bed. Multi-paned mill windows provide guests with stunning views of the surrounding trees and lily pond, while the downstairs living room looks out to the gardens. The cottage also includes internet and TV access, although with the incredible forest outside your door, you probably won’t need it.

Stockholm Writers Cabin
The Stockholm Writers Cabin is located in Lidingo, Sweden and accommodates two guests.
The cabin has TV, Internet, a fireplace and a small kitchen with an oven and mini fridge. There is a tiny washroom, but it has a hand shower only. There is also a grill and small garden.
Close to the water and the woods, the cabin is perfect for those interested in hiking and walking trails and kayaking. The cabin is only 15 minutes away from the nearest small city, and the surrounding area has a shared tennis court, boule, football green, small beach, jump tower and cross country skiing and ice-skating in the winter time. Mushroom Dome Cabin
The Mushroom Dome Cabin is located in Aptos, California and sleeps three guests.
The geodesic dome cabin features a main floor with a couch that doubles as futon, and a mini kitchenette with fridge, hotplate and toaster oven. There is also a table inside to eat meals at. The bathroom has a Travertine shower, sink and a self-contained composting toilet. The loft area features a bed and has stunning views of the surrounding trees.
The dome sits on 10 acres of open land which is perfect for hiking, bird-watching, star-gazing and enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck.
