Summer vacation is right around the corner, which means that feet start to get itchy as students are released from the shackles of academia and everyone else starts to think about taking time off from their jobs in favour of hopping on a plane. Unfortunately for most of us, vacation time is limited to a week, maybe two if we’re lucky. It’s hard to fund a trip if you don’t have a job, and it’s hard to leave for months at a time when you do have a job. Alas, the vicious cycle continues.
But what if you were not only given a sufficient amount of time to travel, but you would also get paid to do so? I know what you’re thinking – that sounds too good to be true. Well thanks to travel company Busabout, it’s a dream that is about to come true for four adventure-loving individuals.
This summer, Busabout wants to send a team of four to travel around Europe for three months, all expenses paid. What’s the catch? You have to work while you’re doing it. And by work I mean blog, vlog, Insta and Snap your entire experience, which I’m pretty sure you would’ve done anyways.
The three-month trip of a lifetime will begin sometime in early June and end in early September. The entire adventure is worth $9,000 and includes an unlimited hop-on hop-off pass, accommodation, spending money for food, return airfare and a bonus fee at the end of the trip if all tasks are met.
Each member of the “Ultimate Travel Squad” will be responsible for a different social media platform. The team will consist of a blogger, a vlogger, a Snapchatter and an Instagrammer. If this already sounds like you and your friend group, the good news is that you can apply together and enter as a group! If you prefer to enter solo, that’s okay too.
Okay, okay, I’m sold! How do I apply?
Applying is as simple as recording a 60-second video showcasing why you are the best person for the job. Creative entries will go farther, so don’t be afraid to think outside the box and let your true colours shine!
Next, simply upload the video here, and fill out the short application form. Be sure to select the correct position you would like to apply for, as you can only apply for one. If you are applying as a duo or a group, make sure to select a different social platform for each member.
