Based in Berlin, we are both freelance photographers and designers. In 2015 we founded Urban Tenting – the digital home of our camping and hiking travels.
In September 2015 we took a road trip from our hometown of Berlin, Germany to Croatia. We travelled through Austria, Slovenia and Italy. We stopped at Gesäuse National Park in Austria, Dalmatia in Croatia, and Venice, Verona and South Tyrol in Italy. Camp Toblach was the last stop of our 20-day-long journey through Europe.
With our 1995 Jeep Cherokee and our rooftop tent we were able to camp everywhere we wanted.
On our way from Verona, Italy to South Tyrol.
We arrived at our camp by sunset with a beautiful view of Lake Toblach.

Before we set up our rooftop tent at the campground we did a little walk around Lake Toblach.
Our dog named Cat and Thomas. He is our travel companion all the time. He loves camping.

Marlen really enjoys the stunning view of the lake and the Dolomites after a long road trip.
This is how it looks when we are camping. Our 1995 Jeep Cherokee with our rooftop tent.
Dinnertime at the camp. We enjoyed homemade pasta with tomatoes and vino.

Inside our rooftop tent. Before sleep we checked our route for our hiking tour for the next day. We did a 23km long hiking trip around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
