These skiers took the term “ski bum” literally.
Valhalla now brings a feature film of 20 naked skiers tearing down the backcountry terrain in B.C. The video opens with a shot of the men and women from behind looking down on a mountain valley view that would make any skier feel pangs of envy. Yellow sunlight streams down on the mountain— perfect conditions for hitting the slopes.
Bare-naked asses plonk down on the seats of chairlifts that whip the skiers up to the natural terrain at Whitewater’s ski resort— a gem located in the Kootenay region and well-known among ski tourists for its backcountry skiing.
Whitewater is a winter adventurer’s dream. The resort has over 623 metres of runs weaving through bowls and glades and evergreen trees just below Ymin Peak. It gets dumping upon dumping of the best kind of snow for downhill winter sports— a good 12 metres every year of fresh powdery white.
Apparently, none of the naked skiers resisted. It was a happy and freeing moment for all. How they braved the cold temperatures and icy winds? We don’t know. Looking at the pasty white skin between bikini tan lines is sure to make any viewer chilly. Watch one of the brave and buff downhill skiers wipe out, plonking a naked body directly into a pile of snow.
It’s a weird scene, especially for anyone who has ever looked out at snowboarders and skiers from a mountain lodge. Gone are the layers of Gortex and neon accessories as they cut through trails packed with snow-cloaked trees leaving clouds of powder in their wake.
This naked ski video makes me worried about getting frostbite in all the wrong places.
