As a journalist, or a journalist-in-training I should say, it’s alarming to admit that as well as I can tell a story, it will never compare to seeing a story.
I could pour my soul into writing something with emotional depth and key characters, while a photo catches everything in an instant.
That’s what is so captivating about travel photography and travel videos. Sure, I can describe what it’s like to see the aurora borealis, or you could see a snapshot of it yourself right here.

Pau Mateo posted this video after deciding to document his adventures around the world in 90-second increments.
It’s an interesting perspective, as opposed to travel blogs that are normally posted on this site.
Mateo started the YouTube page, Fateuser, after leaving home at 18-years-old to travel the world. The page started as a challenge for Mateo to edit his work down into such small increments.
So far, he’s created videos for the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Italy, and South Korea.

So Mateo, where to next?
