Dreaming of a white Christmas? Or maybe waiting for Santa Clause on a beach is more your style. ‘Tis the season to give, celebrate, and visit with friends and family. It also happens to be the season where our bank accounts take an unforgiving hit and stress levels sky rocket, especially if travelling happens to be in your holiday plans.
According to the American Research Group, holiday gift spending is up this year. The survey revealed that Americans spent an average of $882 last year; this year Americans are apparently feeling a little more generous by planning to spend an average of $929 on holiday spending. Canadians are right there with them, spending anywhere from $800-1,000 on the holiday season.
