Everyone’s lifelong dream is to travel the world. Well so is Peter Eich’s, but he’s doing something different. Entrepreneur and founder of several companies based around tourism and cycling – which are now mostly sold – the entrepreneur is traveling the world on his bike. Well, mostly.
There’s nothing in this world that Peter loves more than cycling and founding companies. He studied mathematics and philosophy in Germany and Canada but said to heck with that, skipped his final oral exam to start his first company and found founding so much more fulfilling.
“I never took my final oral exam because I had started my first company and found founding so much more fun.”
The next 15 years, Peter spent his time being a serial entrepreneur, coach and motivator for different company startups.
In 2008, Peter took a different approach to cycling that helped it to be perceived by customers as a more professional business compared to what it was before this movement. He created Cyclesummit which is an international conference to get together different bike tour operators from around the world to create a higher degree of trust and closer cooperation amongst former competitors.
Now living a life always on the go and traveling, Peter travels around the world as a frequent speaker at conferences, further talking about his experiences as a serial founder and about cycle tourism.
