Piano tuner Richard Roberts lives on the streets of London with nothing but a backpack, bicycle, and sleeping bag.
While living with looming student debt in an expensive apartment, Roberts realized that he was “scratching at the surface” and not getting to the bottom of his debts fast enough to pursue his dreams of being able to travel.
After six years he moved out of his apartment to pursue his dreams, and in just over a year he was able to pay off his debts with his mobile piano tuning business. Travelling on his bicycle, Roberts makes any nearby park or building his shelter for the night and showers by swimming in the Thames River.
“It’s just ultimate freedom to have all the time to do what I want. You don’t need anything to be happy,” Roberts said in the video.
Roberts’ lifestyle of living outdoors and biking around to tune pianos has allowed him to follow his dreams and travel to foreign countries such as Argentina.
