Photographer Troy Moth freed his adopted dog from her past and took her on an adventure that is one for the books. Moth’s dog, Nikita, would tremor in the corner anytime he would show her a leash. She was fearful of any human interaction and it took an entire week for her to warm up and allow him to even touch her. Nikita came in a blanket soaked with pee and a crate, which Moth got rid of as soon as he brought her home. She has never been in a crate since that day. In an article for Bored Panda , Moth talks about the way Nikita has changed and how she is free to roam and explore.
The two travel across North America on a never-ending adventure.
“She is free to roam where I roam.”
The duo has traveled through British Columbia, Quebec, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota.
From alpine meadows to swimming in rivers, the world is hers to discover.
She has been freed from her cage and lives exactly as a dog should; she’s even encountered a skunk on her adventures.
Troy Moth has transformed Nikita’s life for the better, and freed her from her past.
The two have explored the largest trees in the world.
“I can honestly say some of the best moments from my travels have simply been watching her run free.”
