With this video and a $99 plane ticket, I’m surprised I’m not in Iceland right now.
WOW airlines released cheap flights to Iceland last year. Like a bus from Toronto to Detroit cheap. Since then, and even before then, but since then especially, travellers from Canada and even the United States have been flocking to Iceland.
However, getting there is the cheap part. Hotels in Iceland are not exactly affordable. Even a bed in a hostel will cost at least $40 a night. Of course, there are ways around expensive accommodation including couch surfing, Airbnb, volunteering, and even camping.
So, pack up your camping gear, hit up some Airbnb locations, rent a car and take one of the best road trips in the world.
Don’t forget to check out the Blue Lagoon. . .
. . . Gullfoss. . .
. . . the Golden Circle. . .
. . . and everything else in this wanderlust inducing video.
