New York City Cyclist and videographer, Casey Neistat, recently got a $50.00 ticket for diverging out of the bike lane while on his ride. As cyclists everywhere know, as a result of cars and tons of other obstructions that occupy the bike lanes, sometimes exiting to go around is hardly a choice – it’s a necessity. Casey used his widely watched YouTube channel to expose the ludicrous rule by displaying how exactly never diverging would work for cyclists.
