A new pop-up restaurant will open its doors this summer in London. With a delicious, natural selection of menu items you can be sure to leave your tight pants at home. Actually, forget your pants entirely, because at this restaurant you can enjoy your food in the nude.
The Bunyadi, which comes from a Hindi term meaning ‘base’ or ‘natural’, will open for three months starting in June. The restaurant will feature both a naked and non-naked section, as well as a changing room with lockers. The staff will also take part in the freeing atmosphere, wearing only minimal clothing.
The idea comes from Lollipop, a company that specializes in unique pop up events and experiences, and the creators of ABQ, a Breaking Bad-inspired cocktail bar that opened last July.
The Bunyadi plans to use only the most natural, homegrown ingredients. According to the press release, guests will enjoy wood-flame grilled meals served on handmade clay crockery and edible cutlery. Even the décor will pull from natural elements, such as the wooden furniture, and partitions made from bamboo and wicker. The ceiling will be fashioned with a canopy of candle lights.
“We believe people should get the chance to enjoy and experience a night out without any impurities: no chemicals, no artificial colours, no electricity, no gas, no phone and even no clothes if they wish to,” explains founder of Lollipop, Seb Lyall. “The idea is to experience true liberation.”
Tickets will be released on a first come first serve basis, but you might want to get on the waiting list fast – it already has over 26,000 people on it.
