We have all felt the sudden onset of bleakness that settles behind our eyes and clouds everything that stands before them. But understand that perspective is a choice. There are fewer things more exhausting than managers and meetings. Managers are much like Dementors; they feed off the accomplishments and souls of others. Weekly meetings are much like mandatory circle-jerks that no one enjoys. Each person goes around the table ejaculating their recent achievements while the real work is left gathering dust. Do not let your life fade in an ergonomic office chair. Safety is paralyzing.
