In recent years, the tiny house movement has taken off as many people look towards downsizing material items in order to live fuller, less-cluttered, meaningful lives. Still, there are those of us who dream of living in a castle, our minds permanently fixated on our childhood fantasies of living in a fairytale. But now you can have the best of both worlds, as the perfect tiny castle has recently gone up for sale.
The two-story, one-bedroom castle, which looks more like the turret from a much bigger castle, is located in Washington State and listed for $113,000 ($US89,000). This might seem a little pricey for a space that’s roughly 288 square feet, but compared to today’s housing market, that’s affordable. The average Canadian house now costs more than $500,000. Of course large provinces such as British Columbia and Ontario have a big impact on that average, but even without those two provinces, the average price is still around $300,000.
The space itself may be small, but the picturesque views of the surrounding lake and rolling hills go on for miles. Nestled along Lake Chelan, the castle is only accessible by boat, which might be a problem for some, but if you prefer the quiet solitude of the outdoors, then this place could be the perfect hideaway.
