There is nothing like a bond between father and daughter. A video that was posted onto Facebook by the user Rhuby Capunes shows that exact bond. This five-year-old girl is shown in the video leading her blind father around the coconut tree farm where he works. Your heart will be instantly warmed in this 3-minute video. Since Rhuby has the posted the video, it has been seen over two million times. Jenny is seen in the video helping her father Nelson Pepe get from tree to tree, and she even leads him to his lunch.
After the video spread across the globe, Filipino broadcasting station ABS-CBN visited the two and got medical care for Nelson. Jenny’s father only makes about $9 a day picking coconuts according to ABS-CBN. The broadcasting company also agreed to help Nelson Pepe’s family by relocating them to a safer location. According to ABS-CBN, they will also give him “livelihood training.” Jenny shows us all that when our parents need our help, we have to support them. After all, they did teach us how to walk, talk and drive.
Family is a bond that will never break, Jenny and Nelson show us all how strong that bond can be. Rhuby didn’t just show how this family lives, she also showed the world how many people around this planet struggle to make just $9 a day. This video gave us all a view of what it’s like outside of our first world bubble. The video is probably the most heartwarming thing you will see all day. And I guarantee that it will make you want to call your dad. Jenny and Nelson are showing us all that you can do anything with a little help from the ones you love.
