Is $3,000 to $5,000 a Lot to Spend on an Engagement Ring?
This is a great engagement ring budget because it opens up more possibilities.
You may be able to choose from:
- A larger lab-grown diamond
- A natural diamond around the half-carat range
- A beautiful sapphire or other coloured gemstone
- Accent diamonds
- A modified or semi-custom design (also known as a bespoke engagement ring)
This is often where clients begin exploring designs that are personalized to their preferences.
Should I Spend $5,000 to $10,000 on an Engagement Ring?
This is where custom design becomes much more accessible.
At this level, you typically have:
- More flexibility with centre stone options, larger diamond, rarer coloured gemstone
- Greater freedom in the design process
- More elaborate settings
- Additional accent diamonds and design details
For many couples, this range offers an excellent balance between customization and value.
My Engagement Ring budget is $10,000 and Above
Once budgets move beyond $10,000, the centre stone often becomes the biggest driver of price.
Factors that influence cost include:
- Diamond size
- Diamond quality
- Natural versus lab-grown diamonds
- Coloured gemstones
- The complexity of the design
- The number of accent diamonds
At this level, the cost of an engagement ring can vary dramatically depending on the specific materials, center stone, and design choices involved.
