As a writer, I constantly struggle with finding ways to stay creative. I write every single day – it’s the biggest part of my job. Because of this I often hit the dreaded writer’s block. Staring at a screen for 12 hours a day isn’t just bad for your eyes, it packages the mind into a tiny little bubble, capable of only producing the same pointless fodder that we soak up through the Internet in the first place.
Now I’m not saying that the Internet is the cause of life’s problems. It’s a great learning tool, a convenient way to connect and communicate, and the fastest method for obtaining information. But sometimes, it actually hinders us from doing the things it was meant to help us do.
