If a person travels and doesn’t share their experiences via Instagram, did they really travel?
While the answer to that may seem an easy one of yes, in the social media age a traveller void of Instagram posts is a rare bird. Not only is Instagram a great way for people to get their name out in the world, it can also be a huge money-maker.
However, on a much more humble level, it is no question that the popular social media platform can be a huge motivator for people to get off the couch and see the world for themselves.
Here are ten backpackers who left their comfort zones behind to explore the world and share their adventures:
1. The World Pursuit
Natasha and Cameron are an American couple on a mega-adventure driving themselves through Africa!
2. Chris Burkard

“I use Photography as a means to inspire others to travel, find joy and seek experiences out of their comfort zone.”

It's hard to describe the Joy of returning. I grew up traveling here a lot as a kid. One of my first rolls of film ever was shot here with my Grandpa. My dad is buried maybe an hour away.. in a cemetery outside Las Cruces. It has always been a little bitter sweet coming out this way. But age has given me perspective & confidence that I can put a lot of beauty out in the world. Photography has even helped heal some wounds I didn't really know were there. For me it has been so much more than just a career.. it's a tool to communicate. Some days it seems like the only language I know… or at least the one I'm the best at speaking. . I've been a bit obsessed with this photo series ..( as you can tell) but coming back to see this place in its full glory with the platform to inspire others to see it for themselves is what it's all about for me.

Sunsets at Trinidad are filled with pure magic my wonder friends. The best way to enjoy this view (other than renting an Airbnb near the city's main square) is to go to a sunset terrace restaurant. Sure, prices can be somewhat high for Cuba standards and the food is going to be either too greasy or too bland (scarcity applies to spices as well it seems) but the view…oh gosh, the view… The view is going to make you wish you could move to Trinidad and enjoy this forever and ever ❤️. What has been your favorite sunset so far in this year???
