In 1968, Milija Mandic and his friends ventured out into the middle of the river Drina in Serbia to build an isolated dream club-house. Though the cabin has been knocked over six times from flood and storm, Mandic has persistently re-built the home throughout the years, finally storm proofing the house on its last construction. The two walls of the home are designed with latches that allow them to detach from the roof of the house and come down like a drawbridge. According to Mandic, you can’t stop a flood, so the second best option is to allow all the water to pass right through the house.
